Double Booked: Part 4
Title: Double Booked: Part 4
Author: [info]k_diddy
Rating: G (Fan rating K)
Summary: Four girls move into the Pad. Madness ensues.
Warnings: It's in script format (REAL script format, not "let's post an IM conversation and call it a script" format). I know some people don't dig that, so read at your own risk. Also, this part is as "romantic" as it gets. Still not romantic enough to shove it into another genre -- just about as romantic as the series got with the kissing and the sparkles in the eyes and crap.
Genre: Comedy/Series
Pairing: Ridiculousness/Plot holes OTP!!!11!eleventy-one!

Previous "chapters": Prologue | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

I Still Like Shark Movies
I went cat fishing with mom today and didn't get anything, so we tried trout fishing. I caught one but as I was pulling it in, it got off.

The morning didn't start off good anyway because we got to the pond and realized we forgot the bait. So we had to drive the 12 miles back home, get the bait, and go back out there. On the bright side the radio show Breakfast with The Beatles was on and all about Ringo.

I've mainly been watching Comedy Central today. I saw the rerun of John Oliver's special which is still hilarious, and some Jim Gaffigan. Lewis Black is on in a few minutes so I'll watch that too.

I talked to Nick again last night which was fun.

Yesterday I sat through Jaws: The Revenge which is the 4th and final in the franchise. It was soooo bad. The only good part was Lance Guest, who played Mike Brody. I found him to be extremley hot, and was the only reason I sat through the whole thing.

The plot of Jaws: The Revenge

I'm about to spoil the whole movie if you haven't seen it.

When it starts Chief Brody is dead, which is so not cool. I can't remember if he died in Jaws 2 though.
Then within the first 10 minutes the youngest Brody kid is a deputy on Amity Island and gets killed by a gigantic ass shark. It wasn't even the usual shark killing. It ripped off his limbs and then killed him. Then Ellen Brody is convinced it's the same shark who killed Chief Brody and that shark is just after her family.

By this time Mike is a marine biologist guy (kinda like Matt Hooper in the original Jaws) he lives with his artist wife and 5 year old daughter in the Bahamas. He takes his mom to the Bahamas and on the way their pilot is none other than Michael Caine who plays Hoagie. Ellen and Hoagie start flirting and start going around the islands together, but she can't get over the feeling the shark is after her family. Meanwhile Mike and his friend and fellow biologist are exploring the seas when out comes the same big ass shark from before and he takes a bite of the boat before leaving. Then Mike and his buddy decide to try to study the shark, but they decide to not tell Ellen.

Well when Mike is underwater he gets attacked and in order to escape he has to open his air tank and shoots out of the water like the tank is a jet pack. This is where I have a BIG PROBLEM with the movie. He goes from the bottom of the ocean to the surface in 3 seconds. If someone did that in real life they would be dead. When you're scuba diving you must swim up slowly in order to adjust to the change in pressure. If you do it like him nitrogen bubbles form in your blood which go to your brain and KILL YOU.

Later the shark nearly kills Mike's daughter so Ellen goes out on a sailboat to find the shark. Mind you she goes out with no weapons. So then Mike, Mike's buddy, and Hoagie take the plane out to find her. They land on the water and get attacked by the shark. They all survive and climb on the boat. Mike and the buddy decide to put a device in the shark that can kill it when they push a button on another device. So the buddy climbs out to the log-like thing on the front of the sailboat (I don't know boat terms) so the shark jumps out of the water, swallows the device and eats the buddy. Mike then pushes the button to kill the shark and it doesn't work. So Ellen steers the boat into the shark who is stabbed and killed by the log thing on the boat. Then it ends.

It was still better than Jaws 3.

FORGIVE ME IF THIS HAS BEEN POINTED OUT IN A PREVIOUS POST.

SO THE OTHER DAY I WATCHED WALK HARD FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE ONLY REASON I WATCHED IT WAS BECAUSE OF THIS SCENE:

LOL WHUT?

PAUL:I'M SICK OF YOU BEING SO DARK, WHEN I'M SO IMPISH AND WHIMSICAL, I'M SICK OF IT!
JOHN: HEY EVERYONE! I'VE GOT A BRAND NEW MANSION! OMMMM, PAUL'S A BIG FAT C**T!

GEORGE: I JUST SIT HERE, WHILE ME GUITAR QUIETLY WHIMPERS...
PAUL: WELL, YOU ARE THE QUIET ONE, SO WHY DON'T YOU SHUT THE F**K UP?!
RINGO: I'VE GOT A SONG ABOUT AN OCTOPUS!
JOHN: JAM IT UP YOUR ASS, YOU'RE LUCKY WE STILL LET YOU PLAY DRUMS.

THAT SCENE MADE ME BOTH SAD AND HAPPY. BUT MOSTLY HAPPY. ESPECIALLY RINGO'S OCTOPUS BIT. AND THE WAY JOHN'S MOUTH MOVES WHEN HE TALKS. AND THE FACT THAT PAUL RUDD PLAYED JOHN.

JUST IN CASE THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED, I BRING YOU CAUTIONARY PENNANCE.

Small Faces: It's Too Late
Yes, the Small Faces. I don't know where that came from either. Just a little drabble really.

Title: It's Too Late
Pairing: Steve/Ronnie, Mac or Kenney, whatever you like best
Rating: PG
Summary: Steve has left the band to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton
Warnings: -
Author's notes: This was partly inspired by a documentary on the Small Faces in which (I think it was) Ian McLagan, said how Steve leaving the band broke the other's hearts.
Disclaimer: Neither did this happen nor do I own anything.

The quiet, the all-embracing quiet – it was wrong.

Where there had been cheeky grins, hoarse laughter and endless chatter and joking was now only silence.

Curses and anger he had enough for a whole lifetime, but they were really just defence work, the stronghold and barbed wire he had surrounded the truth with, the truth that he missed him more than he had ever thought possible.

It wasn’t only the stealthy kisses shared in those surreal hours of the early morning, not quite today but neither yesterday, not the touches that lingered just a fraction of a second longer than necessary, and yet it was all that. Even more so, however, it were the encouraging punches on his shoulder, the bright smile and that seemingly inexhaustible energy that was his most prominent trait. The impetus they all had needed, the fuel for that little machine that was their band – had been, he corrected himself.

He didn’t know where he had gone with that new favourite of his, that guitar genius that didn’t look a day older than 15. The thoughts attacked him suddenly, everywhere, every hour of the day – he couldn’t help wondering about their early morning hours, about their touches.

He couldn’t help wondering how things would’ve turned out if he hadn’t pushed him away that one night.
Where would they be if he had allowed him to climb into his bed in the dark?

It was too late now. He would never know.

He was gone and with him the noise that would drown out his thoughts and worries and fill his soul.
All that was left was the silence that buzzed in his ears and a hole that could never be filled.

Ode to the Yeah-dude
Well, again, not sleeping anytime soon. At least we leave tomorrow and I can sleep in the car!

Let's see, um, things of note since going to the Cape... it was alright, but just as I expected. I mean, sorta pretty. Mostly pretty. But then that's really it. Also, wtf with the Yankee beaches! We went to a beach called like Sandy Point or Sandy Mount or something like that, and I mean, I'd hate to see Rocky PointMount, because damn, how do you even lay out? Only like a third of it is sand! I saw little kids tearing down the beach into the water in bare feet. And I was very distressed. I was uncomfortable in shoes. I got good crabcakes somewhere though.

Upon returning we went out to dinner in the North End, so obviously it was Italian. LOL. It was passable, but then again, I'm not a major Italian fan. My uncle was offensive and irritating as usual, my aunt was amusing, and the kid wasn't there. LMAO. So, after that, Kat and her friend Alyssa (who just got into town to visit also) and myself walked to the financial district and hopped about three bars.

Let me tell you something. Boston boys are no great shakes in my eyes. Or none have been thus far. LMAO. The only thing that amuses me is they're better at instantly noticing what region I'm from and taking direct interest in that than anyone else. Every dude that talked to us last night knew immediately, and the reasoning was hilarious. What were some of the things they said? We didn't "look hard," we laughed a lot, we had "relaxed posture," and apparently it's instantly alien that we don't call things "feckin' wei'd" and when we stumble we don't "take diggahs." My sister has claimed earlier this week that the yeah-dudes have a lot of respect for Boston girls, but after last night's conversations, that doesn't seem to be the case. Then again, we were probably being fed straight tripe lines, y'all.

So yeah, Boston's very cool, but the guys don't thrill me so far. This one guy at the last bar had biceps bigger than my thighs (which is sincerely saying something), a head the size of a walnut, and the whole yeah-dude package: backwards ancient Sox hat, tight T-shirt, a single gold chain for no apparent reason, and he sounded like the Clone High JFK. He goes. "AH YOU FROM TEXAS." "...No." "AH YOU FROM JERSEY." "God no." "AH YOU FROM NEVADA." "No. Keep going." And I sassed him into stopping thus. LMAO.

Today I got to sit on my ass and stay away from the crowds. Happy 4th y'all! We watched TV and ate at places we'd liked before. Speaking of TV, y'know, I'm finding myself happier and happier with today's game's outcome. Jeter is a douchewipe (omg you threw that fastball i stepped into soooo close to me owwie), Yankees fans are irritating, and the Sox just seem like cooler people. (Please someone tell me you've seen that Blame it on the Rain video.) So there I am on that fence. :)

However, fuck the Pats. :D

I'm stoked to leave. This vacation sorta blew. The redeeming part would be rooftop conversations with Kathrin. Even if they did get uncomfortably detailed. And contained the Most Viscerally Uncomfortable Sentence Ever. LMAO. But that was only in retrospect.
